The EA-10 uses a photo sensor to detect people walking by up to 10 feet away and then gives a "ding-dong" sound. The EA-10 can be used to monitor doorways at homes or businesses to alert to a person entering the room. It can also be used in elderly care situations to monitor for people wandering from where they should be. The EA-10 operates on two "C" cell batteries (not included) and has a hi/low volume control as well as an on/off switch
